    Fensa Registered Company:

PVC U windows have always been energy efficient. But now thanks to new government building regulations, there are minimum standards of energy efficiency that window, door and conservatories fitted in the UK must meet.

The regulations are known as "Document L" (Document J in Scotland) and they set energy efficiency targets that reduce heat loss from frames and glass to help Great Britain meet its commitment to reduce green house gases under the Kyoto accord.

To ensure that you fit replacement windows that meet these new standards, the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies. With government encouragement, have set up FENSA - the Fenestration Self-Assessment scheme. Companies in the FENSA scheme will provide you with a certificate confirming that their windows comply with the new regulations. Installations by FENSA - registered companies are subject to random inspections by the schemes representatives.

    UK Trades Confederation:

The U.K. Trades Confederation is probably the most innovative and fastest growing trade association in the UK with a register of over 9,000 reputable companies. Whether you are a home owner looking for a tradesperson or a business looking for more work, there's something for you on this site.

    Federation of Master Builders (FMB):

The FMB is a trade association established over 60 years ago to protect the interests of small and medium-sized building firms – today it is the largest trade association in the UK building industry.

The FMB is a source of knowledge, professional advice and support for its members, providing a range of modern and relevant business building services to save them time and money.
The FMB is independent and non-profit-making, lobbying continuously for members' interests at both national and local levels.
